About the Sprout

 

What is a Media Sprout?


A Media Sprout rarely appears in nature.  It’s typical environs are indoors, in auditoriums, theaters, or galleries.  But we have, using cruelty-free methods, gently encouraged a Media Sprout to grow in the out of doors, on the Gwynns Falls Trail in Leakin Park.


I will stop using that analogy now, it is a bit disturbing.  This festival is happening to bring media (sound, video, & multimedia), music, and performances outside, into a city park.  Hopefully, this festival will become an annual event, but either way, it will encourage new audiences for our performers, and new appreciation of Baltimore City’s parks.

If you can, drive to the Sprout with friends and/or family.  There will be enough parking, but this festival is to celebrate local artists as well as the park.  Save gas and the air by carpooling!!
